Spetember 2nd 2001
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Broadcast live on TNN

WWF RAW is WAR started off with footage, once again recapping the feud between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kurt Angle. They will go at it for the WWF Heavyweight Championship at WWF Unforgiven in just 13 days! This past Tuesday night, RVD defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin on WWF Smackdown! as Austin was distracted by Kurt Angle. With all the heat between Kurt Angle and Stone Cold Steve Austin, what will go down tonight on RAW is WAR?! In the arena, the fireworks went off and the fans went nuts for RAW is WAR, Live from San Antonio, Texas! Jim Ross and Paul Heyman kicked off the show on commentary, announcing the main event: Booker T vs. the Undertaker!

In ring promo:
Stone Cold Steve Austin's music hit in the arena and he made his way to the ring along with his wife Debra and the rest of the Alliance, following behind. The fans booed Stone Cold as he got in the ring, ready to speak on the mic. The Alliance surrounded the ring and Austin said that after everything that happened to Stone Cold Steve Austin last week, he guesses the fans think that he's ashamed to be standing in the middle of this ring. They probably think that he's ashamed, because a fellow Alliance member beat him in the middle of the ring last week. Also because of the fact that Austin was almost thrown off of a bridge last week. They probably think he's ashamed of the fact that he begged in front of the world. They probably think that Austin is ashamed, because he cried. His name is Stone Cold Steve Austin. He is the World Wrestling Federation Champion, what?! What? And he'll tell everyone what he's ashamed of. He's ashamed of every single person in this arena. That's right, he's ashamed of them. He's ashamed of 10 million people sitting in their homes right now, watching Stone Cold Steve Austin on TV.

The fans started chanting "Austin sucks!" and Austin replied by saying: What, what, what? He's ashamed of the fact, he's ashamed of SHUT UP! Austin is ashamed of the fact that the fans will be cheering for Kurt Angle at Unforgiven. He's ashamed that they will be cheering for Kurt Angle to take the WWF Championship from Stone Cold Steve Austin, what? He'll tell everyone what he's really ashamed of, and it's people taking credit for something they do not deserve. Rob Van Dam. Get your ass in this ring. Rob Van Dam got up in the ring as the WWF Hardcore Champion and the fans went nuts for RVD. Austin stood face to face with RVD and he said that he guesses he is probably pretty proud of himself. RVD nodded and Austin said that he's pretty proud of the fact that he beat Stone Cold Steve Austin in the middle of his ring last week. Question: What? Who the hell does Rob Van Dam think he is? Rob responded by saying that he knows who he is, and he said that he's "Rob Van Dam." Austin then said oh, he's RVD. Austin doesn't like Rob Van Dam. Austin turned around and started to walk away and RVD grabbed Austin by the arm and stopped him.

Austin then got face to face with RVD and RVD told Austin that he doesn't like him, either! Austin removed RVD's hand from Austin's arm and the fans chanted "RVD, RVD!" Austin questioned RVD's not liking him. He doesn't like Stone Cold Steve Austin? Austin gave his belt to Debra and then RVD put his belt down, ready for a fight. Austin then hugged Rob Van Dam in the middle of the ring and Rob Van Dam didn't seem to know what was going on, and he didn't hug back. Austin said that's what he likes. Rob Van Dam has some confidence. He's got confidence, because Austin gave it to him. That's what Austin likes about RVD. Since he's got so much confidence and he believes in himself so much, because he's RVD. Then I guess he has enough confidence to challenge Kurt Angle to a match, right here tonight in San Antonio, Texas. Austin asked RVD what he has to say about that and RVD said that it would be an honor to compete with such a great athlete as Kurt Angle. Austin said that's what he likes. He gives this man confidence and he challenges Kurt Angle tonight in San Antonio, Texas. All Kurt has to do is accept! Who else has some confidence around here.

Test got up on the apron and Austin invited him into the ring. Test then told Stone Cold that he's a confident person. And tonight, he's got confidence about The Rock. Austin asked "The who?" Test said The Rock. The fans busted out with a "Rocky, Rocky!" chant and Test said don't get me wrong, he already knows that Shane and Booker T have a handicap match booked against The Rock for the WCW Title at Unforgiven. That's cool, because The Rock can keep his little belt. Test just wants to kick The Rock's ass! Austin said you want to kick his what? Does he have anything else he wants to say? Test said actually, yeah. Looking around, he can honestly say, nothing good has ever come out of the state of Texas! Austin laughed and he said that he's talking about the fans, not Austin. That's what he likes! Anybody else got confidence? Kanyon got on the apron and Austin asked him what he has on his mind. Kanyon told Stone Cold that he is an inspiration. Because of Austin, Kanyon is feeling so confident tonight. He is feeling so confident that he's going to put out an open challenge to any WWF Superstar who thinks they can take the United States Title from him. Austin asked him if he has anything to add to that.

Kanyon said that he's throwing out that open challenge, just like Kurt Angle tried to throw Austin off of the bridge last Monday night. Austin said okay, okay. That's confidence. Anybody else? Tazz got up on the apron and Austin invited him into the ring as well. Tazz said that he's never had a problem with confidence, but there's something he's got to say. There's a good possibility that at Unforgiven, Kurt Angle is going to kick Austin's ass, and take his title. Austin replied by saying "What? You said what?" Tazz repeated himself and the fans went nuts! Austin rubbed his own head and then he said that's the confidence he's been talking about. Each one of the Alliance members...kick to Tazz's gut and then he gave him the Stone Cold Stunner! The Alliance members, Rob Van Dam, Test and Kanyon all stomped away on Tazz in the ring and then Austin did so as well. Austin said that he's confident that he's going to beat Kurt Angle's ass at Unforgiven, just like the rest of these Alliance members have confidence. Austin told Test to hit the big boot, and he did just that and then he told Rob Van Dam to hit the Five Star Frog Splash and RVD did that as well!

Referee: Teddy Long

Christian then grabbed another steel chair and he put it under Billy Gunn's head and then he gave Billy Gunn the One Man Conchairto!

Backstage:
Test and Stephanie were shown looking on and they commented on it. Test asked Stephanie if she saw the way Christian just destroyed Billy Gunn. Stephanie said it was very impressive and Test said that's exactly what he's going to do to The Rock tonight. He'll still leave it to Shane and Booker to bring the WCW Title back, but Test is going to soften him up. Test thanked Stephanie for breaking up with him, because it toughened him up. Ever since he joined the Alliance, his career has been on a roll. Stephanie said he is right. That's why she came in here tonight. If he really wants to soften The Rock up, let's up the stakes. Make it a Handicap Match. Give him a taste of what he'll get at Unforgiven. They'll even let The Rock choose any member of the Alliance to team with Test. Test liked it and he said that Stephanie is the most dominant female in this business. Stephanie said let's make sure The Rock doesn't make it to Unforgiven!

Backstage:
The Hardy Boyz and Lita were shown walking together in the backstage area and they are ready for six person tag team action!

Backstage:
Lance Storm was shown with Hurricane Helms and Storm told Helms that he's doing a great job. What better way to illustrate the cartoonish nature of the WWF by mocking it. He's throwing it right in their face. It's pure genius. Helms thanked Storm and he asked Storm what he meant by pretending? Is he denying his HURRIpowers? Are his HURRIskills not enough? Have faith in the Hurricane! First, he must retrieve Psychic Ivory and then they go to the HURRIring!

Backstage:
William Regal, Tajiri and Torrie Wilson were shown and Regal was talking to Tajiri and Tajiri had Torrie right next to him. Regal asked Tajiri if he's sure that he wants to face Kanyon for the US Title tonight? Tajiri spoke in Japanese to Regal and Regal told him that he's got his match. Torrie and Tajiri got excited and Regal told Tajiri to keep his mind on the US Title, not on Ms. Wilson. Even though she is a member of the Alliance, she is very charming, so keep your mind on the title.

Backstage:
The Rock and Michael Cole were shown again and Michael asked him if he will accept The Alliance challenge. If he does, it will be The Rock vs. Test and whoever The Rock chooses for Test. The Rock told Michael Cole that he has two words for Michael Cole. Eye contact. The Rock heard about this challenge tonight. The Rock figured he would have a little bit of practice, but the question is, who? Who is The Rock going to choose as Test's tag team partner. The fans chanted "Rocky, Rocky!" and The Rock asked who he will choose? That person has to have several traits. Number one, seeing as Test is a very big and powerful man. His partner has to be fast. Number two, anyone dumb enough to team up with Test has to be EASY to manipulate. Number three, anybody who has to stand behind Test to face The Rock tonight has to have clearly no testicles what so ever. So you see Michael Cole, Test's partner tonight has to be FAST, EASY and NO TESTICLES. That person that The Rock can think about is Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley! So you see Stephanie, she wants to throw the challenge at The Rock. Well, The Rock will catch that challenge and throw it right back at her. The happy couple back again. The Rock can hear it now: Here comes the Test and the Ho with the enormous breasts! The fans heavily chanted "Rocky, Rocky!" and The Rock said "Watch as they go, getting their asses kicked all over San Antonio!" Austin told RVD that if Stone Cold was the Hardcore Champion, he'd put it on the line, so yes, put it on the line. Done deal. Austin told RVD that he sees the next Stone Cold Steve Austin in RVD in maybe 5-10 years. RVD said wow, thank you very much, but he's just fine being RVD. Austin didn't seem to like that as RVD left. Debra stood up and she smiled and laughed. Austin asked what is so funny. Debra said she thinks it's so cute the way he does that "RVD" thing. Austin did a fake laugh and he told Debra to sit down. Backstage:
Michael Cole caught up with Stone Cold and asked him if he got an update on Kurt Angle. Michael told Austin that he suffered a serious neck and back injury after he was thrown off of the stage. Austin started to leave and Michael asked him if he realizes that he might not have an opponent at Unforgiven. Austin mocked Michael Cole and he said "What, what, what?" Does it look like Austin cares or gives a rat's ass about him? Austin made it obvious that he doesn't give a damn about Kurt Angle as RAW is WAR went off the air!
